Behavioral Analysis

Shanghai Model Organisms' rodent behavioral analysis platform is equipped with a variety of experimental instruments used to study the classical behaviors of mice. Shanghai Model Organisms can provide single-item or complete sets of mouse behavioral analysis to assist you with your research in neurology, physiology, drug development, and drug efficacy evaluation. The Noldus behavioral analysis system is used to more comprehensively and accurately reflect the neurological and mental states of mice.

Service description: neurobehavioral tracking and observation of mice

Service content:

  • Test of exercise capacity in mice: Treadmill test, rotarod test, balance beam test, pole climbing test;

  • Test of learning and memory capacity in mice: Open field test, holeboard test, novel object recognition test, shuttle box test, water maze test;

  • Mouse depression test: Spontaneous activity test, tail suspension test, forced swimming test;

  • Mouse anxiety test: Open field test, high plus maze test, light/dark box test, Startle Response test, body weight, daily food intake, daily water intake;

  • Mouse pain behavior: Tail flick test, hot plate test, Von Frey test, acetic-acid induced writhing test.

Service advantage: The Noldus behavioral analysis system is used to more comprehensively and accurately reflect the neurological and mental states of mice.

Notice to customers: In order to reduce the impact on the results of behavioral tests due to the stress caused by environmental changes, a one-week adaptation period is required for experimental mice. Because of individual differences in mice and the sensitive nature of the detection, there may be large intra-group differences, thus leading to meaningless results of statistical analysis among different groups. In this case, a larger number of samples are required to overcome the standard deviation.
